INNOVATES DAILY LIVES FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS
For the past several decades major corporations has been given a negative connotation, for being greedy companies that only focuses on maximizing profits, extracting resources from nature as well as from human beings to do so. However, we are now entering the age of conscious capitalism. More and more consumers are now choosing to evolve their spending power, by shopping with companies that are actually taking interest in giving back to communities rather then take & take. This ideology gives the consumer a sense of pride and purpose knowing that there hard eArn money is going to companies that actually take interest in making the world as well as the marketplace better then they found it. We are now seeing more & more companies adopting this method of conscious capitalism. For example, take a company like Tesla. Tesla is literally innovating the blueprint on how we travel. Future generations won’t even know what diesel or gas cars are and electric cars will be the majority. What was acceptable in the past (gas cars) + improvements (electric saves natural resources) . The founder Ellon Musk has even kept his patent open for other vehicle companies to improve and recreate his idea on running vehicles solely on battery electric cars. In about 10 years it wont even be cool anymore to have a car that runs on gas effecting the quality of air we breathe.
Another example is Whole Foods and their organic campaign. More people prefer organic rather than generic. We are living in a time where more then ever people are now more conscious about what they are putting inside there bodies. For years and years major food chain companies have focused on making food convenient & cheap, using process foods, so that it would be hard for the consumer to resist the gratification of a nutritious void meal. As times goes on the everyday consumer has come to see that the long term effects of this cheap & processed food takes a fatal toll on their health such as obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure, just to name a few. That is why so many people are seeking better alternatives like Whole Foods because they know exactly where their food comes from & what their food is made out of and in the process saving millions of lives. Imagine a world with more organic food chains. this would most likely cut diseases in half for the future generations enabling them to be happier & healthier.
GIVING BACK TO COMMUNITIES
As a conscious Entrepreneur one of the very first things we must become aware of is the full impact we have on our environment as well as our communities. We must also take responsibility of the role we have in the marketplace and familiarize ourselves with our communities. By immersing yourself in communities and surrounding yourself with people whos paths align with yours, the more people you encounter that’ll share a similar vision as yourselves maintaining a sense of purpose by serving to those people.
Take a company like Patagonia for example. Most people know them for their cozy outdoor wear. But did you know that Patagonia gives 1% of all sales to environmental organizations globally? Yup that’s right in fact Patagonia is a founding member of Fair labor association and makes all their products from sustainable or recycled materials. Another great example is TOMS. A well known shoe company that brought the idea of the one for one model. Their shoes are made from sustainable materials, and the company emphasizes transparency in its supply chain, so they are staying true to their word.
PROVIDE JOB OPPERTUNITIES
Another reason why conscious entrepreneurs are needed is to continue the expansion of jobs. For example their are more driving opportunities then ever before. Companies like Uber& Lyft provide the opportunities to individuals that allow the freedom to create their own work schedule. People don’t have to settle for less than what they really want out of life.
